LG smart TVs run webOS, so IPTV players come from the LG Content Store rather than Google Play. The choice is smaller than on Android, but the main playlist players are usually available.
Apps to look for in the LG Content Store
- SS IPTV: free, and you add your playlist with a connection code from the app.
- Smart IPTV: add your playlist on the developer’s website using the TV’s MAC address. One-off activation fee after a trial period.
- SET IPTV and Smart One IPTV: similar MAC-address playlist upload.
- IPTV Smarters Pro: where available, signs in directly with Xtream Codes details.
The app we have tested on LG TVs: app name and webOS versions tested.

Setting up IPTV on an LG TV
- Press Home on the remote and open the LG Content Store (called Apps on newer models).
- Search for your chosen player and install it.
- Open the app and note the MAC address or connection code it shows.
- On a phone or computer, open the app developer’s official website and enter that code with your M3U playlist link.
- Restart the app on your TV. Channels and, where supported, the TV guide will load.
If the app supports Xtream Codes login, choose that instead and enter your server, username and password directly. See Xtream Codes login.
Tips for LG TVs
- Use a wired connection if your router is close. Older LG Wi-Fi chips can struggle with 4K streams.
- Turn off “Quick Start+” if the app misbehaves after the TV has been on standby. It forces a clean restart.
- Update the TV software in Settings > Support > Software Update before installing apps.
If your LG has no suitable app, a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device is a quick, inexpensive fix.
