Installing SS IPTV
SS IPTV has been available in the LG Content Store and on Samsung smart TVs, as well as Android. Search your TV’s app store for “SS IPTV”. Availability depends on model year and region.
Adding your playlist with a connection code
- Open SS IPTV on your TV and go to Settings (the cog icon).
- Under General, choose Get code. A temporary connection code appears.
- On a phone or computer, open the developer’s official website and go to the playlist editor.
- Enter the connection code to link your TV.
- Add your M3U playlist link as an external playlist and save. See M3U playlists.
- Back on the TV, your playlist appears on the main screen. Open it to load channels.
The connection code is temporary. Generate a new one if it expires.
Link or file: which to use
The playlist editor offers two ways to add channels: an external playlist (a link) or an uploaded playlist file. Use the link. It updates automatically when channels change, while a file is a snapshot that goes out of date and has to be uploaded again.
Your M3U link contains your login, so only paste it into the developer’s official site. Never send it to anyone offering to “set it up for you”.
Tips
- Name the playlist clearly (for example “Matchlight”) so it is easy to find.
- Reload after changes. If channels change, refresh the playlist in the app.
- Large playlists can be slow on older TVs. If browsing feels sluggish, a Fire TV Stick with TiviMate will be faster.
Common problems and fixes

| Code not accepted | It may have expired. Generate a new one in Settings and use it straight away. |
| Playlist tile missing on the TV | Restart SS IPTV so it fetches the latest playlist list. |
| Channels listed but black screen | Restart the app and the TV. If it persists on every channel, check your subscription is active, then contact support. |
| Guide times wrong | Check the TV’s own time zone and clock first. See EPG setup. |
Is SS IPTV the right player for you?
SS IPTV suits people who want something free and do not mind a simple interface. It is built around playlists, so it lacks some features dedicated players offer, such as a full grid guide on every model. If you want the richest guide and fast channel switching, a Fire TV Stick with TiviMate is the usual upgrade.
