Before you commit to a year
A year is a long commitment with any provider, so check these first:
- Test on your main device. Use the 1-month trial on the TV you watch most.
- Test at peak times. Weekend evenings and live sport put the most strain on home broadband.
- Check the content list. Make sure what you want is included on the plan you are buying. See channels and sports.

Be wary of “lifetime” deals
“Lifetime” and long prepaid deals are a common pattern among unlicensed services. They take a year’s money upfront and are often blocked or shut down long before the year ends, with no refund.
