Couple setting up an IPTV app on their smart TV

The four steps

  1. Choose your device. Fire TV Stick, smart TV, Android TV, Apple TV, phone or computer. See devices.
  2. Install a player app. The app is the “TV” you watch through. See apps and players.
  3. Sign in with your login details, using Xtream Codes or an M3U playlist.
  4. Add the TV guide (EPG) if it does not appear automatically. See EPG setup.

Before you start

  • Have your welcome message open. Login details must be typed exactly, as they are case-sensitive.
  • Update your device so the app store and system are current.
  • If you can, connect by Ethernet for the first setup. Large TV guides download faster.

After setup: a quick check

Once you are signed in, check that:

  • channels change within a second or two
  • the TV guide shows the correct current programme. If times are an hour out, see the time-shift tip in EPG setup
  • films and series appear, if your plan includes them.

If anything is wrong, the troubleshooting hub covers the common fixes, or contact support.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get IPTV on my TV?

Install an IPTV player app on your smart TV or a streaming stick plugged into it, then sign in with the details from your subscription. The device guides show which app to use.

What is the difference between Xtream Codes and M3U?

Both give an app access to the same channels. Xtream Codes uses a server address, username and password, and usually loads films, series and the TV guide automatically. M3U is a single web link to a playlist, which works in more apps but may need the TV guide adding separately.

How long does IPTV setup take?

On a device that already has the app, a few minutes. On a Fire TV Stick, allow ten to fifteen minutes the first time, because you need to install Downloader and allow unknown apps.

Try it on your own TV first

Set up the trial on the device you actually watch on, then decide.
