What is the EPG?
EPG stands for electronic programme guide: the grid of TV listings. On IPTV, the guide is a separate data file, usually in XMLTV format, that your app downloads and matches to your channels. EPG availability on our service: confirm EPG coverage.
- With an Xtream Codes login, most apps fetch the guide automatically.
- With an M3U playlist, you may need to add the EPG link from your welcome message.

Adding or refreshing the EPG
TiviMate
- The guide normally loads with an Xtream Codes playlist.
- To add one manually: Settings > EPG > Add EPG source, then enter the link.
- To refresh: Settings > EPG > Update EPG.
IPTV Smarters Pro
- The guide downloads after you sign in. If it is empty, open Live TV, then the menu, and choose Refresh EPG or Install EPG (wording varies by version).
Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client)
- In the add-on’s settings, open EPG, set the location to Remote path and enter the XMLTV link. See Kodi setup.
Fixing common TV guide problems
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Guide is empty | Refresh the EPG, then wait a few minutes. Large guides take time on basic devices |
| Times are an hour out | Set the device to UK time with automatic daylight saving, then use the app’s EPG time-shift (0 for UK) |
| Some channels have no listings | Refresh after line-up changes. A few channels may not carry guide data |
| Guide loads slowly every time | Reduce the number of days of guide data in the app’s settings |

A tip for faster guides
Most apps let you choose how many days of listings to keep. Three days is plenty for most people and makes basic devices like the HD Fire TV Stick far more responsive. You can also hide channel groups you never watch. See IPTV playlist editors.
