SET IPTV guide

SET IPTV is a smart TV player with a familiar TV-guide layout. Like most smart TV players, you add your playlist using the MAC address shown on your TV.

SET IPTV is an independent player app and is not affiliated with us.

Setting it up

  1. Install SET IPTV from your TV’s app store. It has been available on Samsung, LG and Android.
  2. Open it. The MAC address for your TV is shown on screen.
  3. On a phone or computer, go to the developer’s official website and open the playlist upload page.
  4. Enter the MAC address, paste your M3U link and, if offered, your EPG link.
  5. Save, then restart SET IPTV on your TV.

Use only the developer’s official site. Never upload your playlist to a page you were sent by someone else, because your link contains your login.

Before you start

Have these ready so setup takes a few minutes rather than half an hour:

  • Your M3U link from your welcome message, copied exactly. A missing character is the most common reason a playlist fails.
  • Your EPG link, if your welcome message includes one, so the TV guide fills in.
  • A phone or computer on any network. The upload happens on the developer’s website, not on the TV.

Check the MAC address carefully as you type it. It is made of the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F, so a “0” is always a zero, never the letter O.

Activation

After the free trial, the developer charges an activation fee per TV. Prices are set by the developer. This is not part of your subscription.

Tips

  • If the guide times look wrong, check your TV’s time zone and the app’s EPG offset. See EPG setup.
  • Use favourites to keep your most-watched channels at the top.
  • Large playlists can be slow on older TVs. A Fire TV Stick is a quick upgrade.

Common problems and fixes

Problem What to try
Channels load but some will not play Restart the app. If only a few channels fail, they may be temporarily down. Check again later or contact support.
Playlist worked, then stopped Your subscription may have ended or the link changed. Check your account, then upload the current link again.
Guide is empty Add the EPG link on the upload page, restart, and give the guide a few minutes to download.
App is slow to open Large playlists take longer on older TVs. Hide groups you never watch.

Changing TV or moving rooms

The playlist is linked to one TV’s MAC address. A new TV means a new MAC address, so upload your playlist again for that TV. Activation is normally per device, so check the developer’s terms before you switch. If you want to watch on more than one TV at the same time, make sure your plan has enough screens.

Frequently asked questions

Is SET IPTV free?

There is a free trial period, then the developer charges an activation fee per device. It is separate from your subscription.

Why does SET IPTV show "no playlist"?

The playlist has not been linked to your TV's MAC address yet, or the MAC address was entered incorrectly. Re-check it on the developer's website and restart the app.

Does SET IPTV support the TV guide?

Yes. Add the EPG link alongside your playlist where the upload page allows.

Can I use SET IPTV on two TVs?

Yes, but each TV has its own MAC address, so you upload the playlist for each one. Each TV may also need its own activation, and watching on both at once needs a plan with two screens.

Try it on your own TV first
